Practical activities with babies and toddlers

We are seeing signs of spring, but especially with the time change, know that it can be hard to Montessori-ify our daily lives and environments! Today’s blog will focus on simple, practical activities that take minimal effort (beyond your daily chores) which will still enrich and entertain your little ones. • Bringing chores / errands down to baby-level (floor) and narrating your actions OR getting older ones involved in simple tasks like sorting or loading laundry or unpacking groceries.

• Testing independent play limits by doing separate activities next to each other (better for older ones).

• Learning the magic of mirrors, doors and light switches with your babies.
